Warwick Valley High School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13 for both in-person and remote learning due to a power outage caused by a blown transformer. The power outage is isolated to Warwick Valley High School; therefore, this will not impact our other schools or students who attend morning or afternoon CTEC.
Students who attend CTEC in the morning will take their regular means of transportation to their programs. Upon dismissal, high school students who attend CTEC that reside in the Warwick Valley CSD will receive transportation directly to their homes from CTEC. Students that reside in the Greenwood Lake UFSD will take a bus from CTEC back to Warwick Valley High School where they will receive transportation home. Additionally, there will be a bus that will bring any student that drove to WVHS back to the building to get their cars.
Warwick Valley and Greenwood Lake students who attend and take the bus to CTEC in the afternoon will be picked up and dropped off at their homes. The Transportation Department will reach out to families tomorrow with an approximate pick-up time.
