    Today is a/an “C” Day

 

HAPPENING TODAY: 

 

  • DRAMA CLUB –  There will be a meeting of the Drama Club’s tech crew (stage, lighting and sound) today and Saturday, January 24th and 25th after school. All members of the tech crew are expected to be in attendance as we start to get ready for the spring musical. Any student who is interested in joining the tech crew should come as well- new people welcome!
  • WILDCUTS SALON – Reminder the Wildcuts Salon is open every Friday for 2 periods for students to get a haircut, color, facial, waxing, manicure or pedicure.  You must have a study hall during one of the periods and make an appointment ahead of time so that you can get a pass to go to the salon. Today the periods will be 1 and 5.  
  • MANDARIN CHINESE CLASS – Tomorrow is the start of the Chinese New Year.  The Year 2020 is the year of the rat! Happy New Year to all that celebrate!!!

 

 

COMING UP: 

 

  • HOPE CHEST IN PINE ISLAND – The Hope Chest in Pine Island will be hosting a Fashion Show on Friday January 31st.  It will feature dresses and prom wear. If you have any old prom dresses or suits please donate them because we know Prom can be expensive. They can be dropped off to the Guidance Office any time during the day or after school until 3 pm.
  • SENIOR PICTURES – SENIOR RECOGNITION ADs are due January 31st. All ads can be purchased, designed and submitted online at www.JostensADService.com. Please see Mrs. McLoughlin with any questions or issues in room 59 or 65.
  • SENIOR APPAREL – Senior apparel will be back on sale through Tuesday, January 28th. This will be your LAST CHANCE to order your official senior apparel. Check your emails and senior website for the link. Any questions? See Ms. Buffardi in room 231, or Mrs. Gaytan Castro in room 128.
  • COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS – Seniors!  20 hours of Community Service is required for graduation.  The due date for submitting your hours is April 14th. Please submit your hours now if you have them completed. The sooner we have them recorded the better!  As a review, a total of 50 hours earns the Principal’s award. 100 hours earns the Superintendent’s award. Upcoming volunteer opportunities have been sent to your email and are posted on the bulletin board.  A few upcoming events are:
    • The STEM Fair – Jan 29th
    • Lego League Tournament – Jan 25th
    • Beautiful People Winter Basketball Buddies 
    • Greenwood Lake Winter Carnival – Feb 15th & 16th
  • APPLE OF MY EYE PROGRAM – Students – nomination forms are in the high school office for the Apple of My Eye Program.  Nominate an outstanding teacher that has made a difference in your life!
