Greetings, from your Park Avenue PTA!
Welcome to the start of a great school year at Park Avenue! As always, the PTA is committed to serving the students, families, and community of our wonderful school. We look forward to providing a variety of enriching programs and activities, and to helping our students, parents, teachers, and staff stay connected and engaged throughout the year.
We know that, as a parent, you are dedicated to your student’s success, and we encourage each of you to put that commitment into action by becoming a PTA member. Our members are the heart of our PTA, and membership is what enables us to continue all of the programs we offer.
By joining the PTA you will:
- Support Enrichment Activities for Your Child: PTA membership is one of our biggest fundraisers. Your simple membership contribution goes a long way toward funding field trips and large-scale events like the Fourth Grade Moving-Up Celebration, Halloween Happenings, annual Talent Show and Drama Club productions, One Book One School, and more.
- Get Connected: Receive timely PTA communications and reminders about what’s happening at Park Avenue via our website, newsletters, flyers, text messages, and social media.
- Tap into a Network: PTA functions are an opportunity to meet and build a rapport with other parents, teachers, and school administrators, and to share your ideas and concerns.
- Witness Improvement: By getting involved at your child’s school, you’ll be part of the solution, helping to make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising for building improvements and enriching curriculum-based programs, as well as coordinating social events.
- Watch Yourself Grow: Volunteering is an opportunity to put your skills and creativity to great use for a great cause. While you do not have to volunteer to become a member, our PTA is only as strong as its volunteers. Even an hour of your time will help!
- Be a Role Model: The most important reason to join the PTA is the impact you will have on your child’s life and educational experience.
