When picking up and dropping off students, parents must enter the parking lot on the left side of the top driveway off West Street Ext. near the circular “Smile” sculpture and proceed left into the “parents’ car lane” leading to the Middle School. At no time should cars be traveling in the designated bus lane.
As traffic flow continues in front of the Middle School, students may only be dropped off in front of the flag pole. Please do NOT pull into the fire lane or up to the curb located on the right as you proceed. Vehicles will then travel straight and exit to the left (adjacent to District Office parking) and proceed onto West Street.
Entry/exit points and car/bus lanes will be clearly marked, as will a limited number of visitor parking spaces in front of the middle school (accessible using the same entry and exit points defined above) for use during the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. only – not before or after school.
In the morning, students should not be dropped off before 7:25 a.m. In the afternoon, vehicles are prohibited from lining up until after 2:10 p.m. to allow for vehicles in visitor parking to exit the lot.
In addition, if you do not plan on having your middle school student ride the bus at any time during the school year, we ask that you write a letter and bring it to the Middle School Office.
