Participate in Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 19-23
Dear Park Avenue Parents/Guardians:
This year’s Red Ribbon theme (Be Happy, Be Brave and Be Drug Free) is meant to encourage children, families and communities to live healthy, happy and drug-free lives. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery and strength.
Though the message of Red Ribbon Week is centered around being drug and alcohol free, since our students are young, we plan to focus on being happy, being brave, respecting our bodies and brains and making healthy choices. We encourage you to have your child participate in our school wide Red Ribbon Week by having your child dress with the following in mind.
Date: | Message to Students: | How we’ll Show This: |
Monday – October 19th | Respect our bodies and brains | Everyone wear something RED to show your pledge for a healthy lifestyle |
Tuesday – October 20th | Don’t get tied up in bad choices | Wear a tie today pledging to make healthy choices for a happy and healthy lifestyle |
Wednesday – October 21st | Be like a superhero and exercise and eat healthy | Dress up as your favorite Superhero |
Thursday – October 22nd | Strive to be your best! | Wear your best * |
Friday – October 23rd | Strive to be your best! | Wear your best * |
