WVMS Wildcats “My Jersey, Your Impact” campaign wraps up in Week 6

November 2, 2021

The modified football season is wrapping up, and and so is the Wildcat’s My Jersey, Your Impact campaign.

Seven more players from the WVMS Wildcats team have chosen to honor teachers who have made a big impact on them during their time at the middle school. Each game day this year, seventh and eighth grade players have been saying “thanks for everything” to those educators by handing over their jerseys to be worn or displayed.

Aidan Stubbs presented his #33 jersey to sixth grade teacher Ms. Christine Chenoweth.

“Mrs. Chenoweth was an amazing teacher when I had her last year,” said Aidan. “She is really funny and always made learning math and science so much fun.” Fun fact: Aidan and Mrs. Chenoweth both shared that they are “obsessed” with Star Wars. The Force is strong with these two!

Adriel Baez presented his #30 jersey to Ms. Teadie Becker.

“Ms. Becker was the best teacher I ever had,” said Adriel.

Peter Fernandez presented his #56 jersey to sixth grade teacher to Ms. Alexia Kaval.

“Mrs. Kaval was the best English teacher I have ever had,” said Peter. “She helped me become the writer I am today.”

Joziah Lloyd presented his #66 jersey to music and chorus teacher Mr. Shane Peters.

“Mr. Peters is the coolest teacher I’ve ever had,” said Joziah. “He always knows how to make the class fun, and makes me laugh.”

Levi Solari presented his #8 jersey to Ms. Sarah Sobotor

“Mrs. Sobotor is my favorite teacher,” said Levi. “She helps me a lot with ELA.”

Thomas Ranaudo presented his #4 jersey to Ms. Elizabeth Sullivan.

“Ms. Sullivan was my favorite teacher,” said Thomas, “and I know I was her favorite student.”

Frankie Zottola presented his jersey to Social Studies teacher Mr. Bill Zwart.

“Mr. Zwart is my favorite teacher so far,” said Frankie. “He makes social studies really fun.”
