WVMS National Junior Honor Society raises money for local organizations

The WVMS National Junior Honor Society recently donated $2,700 to the following local organizations.

• Beautiful People
• Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry
• Warwick Area Migrant Committee
• Richard Jacob Rudy Memorial Fund

The students started a fundraising drive and raised the money in just four days. The members – and particularly president Paxton Honerkamp – were incredibly passionate about doing something to aid front line workers fighting to keep their community safe and healthy.

“The students remained dedicated to doing good for their community, not despite the pandemic, but fueled by a passion to help tackle it,” staff advisor Michael Justiana said. “There was such an urgency among the members to help, and with the donation of this money toward worthy local causes and organizations, we hope that we are doing just that.”
