WVMS 7th graders enjoyed a trip to the zoo

Students from the MS 7th grade Gamma team and Mrs. O’Leary had a fun day at the Bronx Zoo

Middle School 7th graders recently enjoyed a field trip to the Bronx Zoo.

While riding the Wild Asia Monorail, they were able to see and learn about many interesting animals, including elephants, a rhinoceros, a nearly extinct type of horse and a variety of deer and pigs.

The students were also able to tour the World of Reptiles, and the Madagascar exhibit, among others.

A repeated theme throughout the zoo is the importance of wildlife conservation, and students learned that people need to work as a team to preserve the environment.

Students from the 7th grade Gamma team joined Mrs. O’Leary, who is retiring, in celebrating the last school trip of her career with a fun day at the Bronx Zoo.
