WVHS senior girls donate Powder Puff proceeds to benefit breast cancer research

October 20, 2021

The annual Powder Puff Senior vs. Junior Girls Homecoming Football Game came down to the final play. The senior girls kicked a 20-yard field goal to win as time expired. The senior girls purchased tee shirts at a cost of $10 each, and thanks to the generosity of Mr. Rocco Manno, who donated the artwork and the tee shirt paint, and the Purple Champions Club, which donated the tee shirts, over $300 was left at the end of the week.

The senior girls decided to donate $340 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the name of the 2021 Powder Puff champions, a tradition that they hope carries on for future senior classes.  Another great example of the great things our students are doing. Go Wildcats!
