WVHS raises funds for American Heart Association

300 Students Compete for a Cause

More than 300 Warwick Valley High School students rallied behind the American Heart Association and competed during unit lunch in a double-elimination volleyball tournament on Thurs., Dec. 22.

Nearly $1,200 was raised and donated to the American Heart Association on behalf of Warwick Valley High School.

The event was organized and promoted by the high school’s physical education and health faculty members, including Eric Rosa, Shad Scarpulla, Kaitlin Rodriguez, Teresa Lindsay, Matt Carcaterra and Jeff Jacobsen.

The high school faculty team won the event, defeating the student team captained by Jennie Prial and including Jack Pennington, Greer Liguori, Sean Quinn, Demi Herasme, Madison Parrelli, Thomas Nafash and Jason Nafash.
