WVHS musicians participate in NYSSMA Area All-State concerts

Congratulations to the 17 Warwick Valley High School student-musicians selected to perform in the 2022 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State Festival at Tri-Valley High School on Nov. 18-19.

Area All-State musicians were chosen from more than 2,000 applicants based on outstanding solo audition scores from the NYSSMA solo evaluation festival last spring and on teacher recommendations.

The festival featured the best student musicians from Greene, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties. Rehearsals began on Friday, November 18 and culminated with concert performances on Nov. 19. Ensembles were led by guest conductors from across the U.S. who are top professionals in the music field.

Mixed Chorus: Phoebe Paddock, Emily Buliung, Emily Bujosa, Noah Adelesberg, and Joshua Cornelius.
Symphonic Band: Talia Hertigan (flute), Kayla Ludovicy (oboe and English horn), Lionel Wolfe (saxophone), and Benjamin Poka (percussion).
Treble Chorus: Caitlyn Moran, Danielle Bossolina, Olivia Holland, Lena Jodry, and Jenna Mosier.
Orchestra: Hunter Ludovicy (violin), Skylar Rosenblatt (violin) and Zoe Link (viola).
