Recently, students in Warwick Valley High School’s criminal justice program were invited to an exclusive tour of the Orange County Sherriff’s Department in Goshen.

Students had the opportunity to see how various theories, administrative laws and in-class instruction work in practicum within the real-world criminal justice environment.

Students gained insight on how education, medical care, safety and tactical procedures operate within the Sheriff’s agency. The Special Operations and Crisis Intervention teams spoke with the students and performed several informative demonstrations, providing students with a greater understanding of all facets of work done by this public office.
