WVHS Athletes of the Week: Kadence Schluter & Oliver Bieling
Kadence Schluter
Kadence Schluter has been selected as this week’s WVHS Female Student-Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Bill Garcia: Allstate Insurance Agency in Warwick. Kadence will be attending Russell Sage College in Troy, New York, majoring in Criminal Justice and playing softball for the Gators of the Empire 8 NCAA conference.
Kadence is a three-year varsity softball player and one of the area’s top pitchers. She has qualified for the honor roll and has been recognized as a scholar-athlete for softball by the NYSPHSAA. She was a key contributor to the Wildcats Section IX Softball Title in 2019. Kadence is the daughter of Jaime and Robert Schluter of Warwick, New York. Her brothers, Robert and Hunter, both attend the Warwick Valley School District.

Oliver Bieling
Oliver Bieling has been selected as this week’s WVHS Male Student-Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Bill Garcia: Allstate Insurance Agency in Warwick. Oliver will be attending Brown University, of the prestigious Ivy League, and majoring in engineering.
Oliver carries an overall average of 100 and is a three-sport standout in football, wrestling, and baseball. He will transition to a college rugby player for the Brown Bears. He is a NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete and a member of both the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. Oliver received the Engineering, Creativity, and Innovations Scholarship, and has taken more than eight advanced placement courses for college credit during his tenure at Warwick Valley School District. He is the son of Scott and Catarina Bieling, of Warwick, New York. Oliver’s sister, Maya, is a junior at WVHS, and his sister, Penny, is in the seventh grade at WVMS.
