WVHS art student recognized with prestigious OC award

on September 9, 2014

In recognition of her talent in art, WVHS student Alexis Zarow was selected as the Orange County Arts Council’s 2014 “Youth with Exceptional Promise” honoree this year. Alexis was recommended for the award by art teacher Shari Blauner, who notes, “This is very prestigious, as only one high school student in all of Orange County, who is involved in either art or music, wins this award. For Lexie, it is well deserved. She always goes above and beyond, and works hard to improve herself at every step.” In the seven years the “Youth with Exceptional Promise” award has been presented, Alexis is the second WVHS student to have received it.
