WVCSD’s annual STEAM Fair, K-12 Rock and Roll Art Show and Scholarship Chair Auction Display

May 18, 2023

WVCSD’s annual STEAM Fair, K-12 Rock and Roll Art Show and Scholarship Chair Auction Display was an amazing showcase of our students’ talent, creativity and ingenuity.

The art show in the gymnasium featured a variety of mediums and artwork from students in kindergarten through 12th grade including paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, ceramics and pottery.

The Art Show included a display of the chairs that are being auctioned off online and a sneak peak of the Newspaper Fashion Show. The Empty Bowls Club raised $100 with sales during the event. Bidding is open for the chair auction until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19.  View and bid on chair at: https://warwickartauction.weebly.com/.

The WVMS STEAM Fair in the old gym gave students an opportunity to practice scientific thinking and problem solving through interactive, hands-on investigations and inventions. WVHS students in Mrs. Tuow’s Science Research class served as mentors and judges for the STEAM participants.

Sara Marina and Eva Chuckran won first prize with a “Does the 5-Second Rule Really Work?” project. Devin Torino-Margolis and Milla Perry placed second with their display of  “The Battle of Yeast”.  Jaxsen Mita earned third place with his  “Solar Ovens” project.
The Middle School Administrative team is so proud of all of the students who participated in the event this year. These students started these projects all the way back in December and to see them all on display was an absolute pleasure. We would also like to thank the wonderful WVHS research students who volunteered their time throughout the year to
