WVCSD Capital Project Vote is Tomorrow… Thursday, Dec. 2

Warwick Valley Central School District puts its proposed 2021 Capital Project up for a vote tomorrow – Thursday, December 2. Eligible District voters may visit their polling places and cast their ballots.

The proposed $13.8 million Capital Project presents no additional impact to District taxpayers and would fund high-need infrastructure improvements at four schools. WHEN DO I VOTE?

The WVCSD 2021 Capital Project vote is happening tomorrow – Thursday, December 2, 2021. Three polling places will open at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until 9:00 p.m.

If you plan to cast an Absentee Ballot, it must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, at the District Office.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?

To cast your ballot during the 2021 Capital Project vote tomorrow – Thursday, December 2 – you must be registered and eligible to vote in the District. Eligibility is contingent on:

  • You must be a U.S. citizen, aged 18 years or older.

  • You must have been living in WVCSD for at least 30 days prior to the vote date.

    • You must have been living in the District since at least November 2, 2021.

  • You must be registered with either the Orange County Board of Elections or the Warwick Valley Central School District.

WHERE DO I VOTE?

Three polling places will be available tomorrow – Thursday, December 2 – for eligible voters to cast their ballots in person. The three polling places align with three geographically delineated voting districts within the greater school District.

  • Voters living in DISTRICT 1 will cast their ballots at the Pine Island Fire Department, located at 684 County Road 1 in Pine Island.

  • Voters living in DISTRICT 2 will cast their ballots at the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center at the District’s Main Office, located at 225 West Street in Warwick.

  • Voters living in DISTRICT 3 will cast their ballots at the Kings Elementary School building, located at 199 Kings Highway in Warwick.
