Wildcats Winter Sports Recap: Alpine Skiing

March 11, 2021

Despite a drastically shortened race season, both the Boys and Girls Ski Teams had their most successful seasons in recent memory. Both teams were undefeated in all races attended.

On February 24 at Mount Peter, the Girls Ski Team brought the Section IX title back to Warwick! The win was led by senior Simone Sullivan (1st place), sophomore Hallie Hansen (3rd place), and senior Julia Priebke (5th place). Sullivan took first place in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom races on her way to a third consecutive, individual Section IX title — a fitting end to her incredible High School racing career with the Wildcats.

On February 25, the Wildcats traveled to Holiday Mountain in Monticello, where the Boys Ski Team capped off its undefeated season, winning the Section IX Apline Ski Racing Championships. The winning effort was led by sophomore Mariss Lauberts (3rd place), senior Christopher Hansen (4th place), and Senior Daniel Keneally (6th place).

Congratulations on a great season on the slopes!
