Warwick voters approve 2019-20 school budget, elect three board members

WVCSD logoOn Tuesday, May 21, Warwick Valley Central School District residents approved the district’s $95 million budget proposal and elected three members to the Board of Education.

Voters approved (final numbers):

  • A $95,089,284 budget for 2019-20 that increases spending by 2.45%, carries a 2.69% tax levy increase and is below the tax cap: 967 yes, 419 no
  • A no-cost referendum which allows the district to purchase six school buses: 935 yes, 451 no
  • Three candidates for three open board of education seats: Eilleen Gagliano, Denise Ginley and Keith Parsons

Eilleen Gagliano, Denise Ginley and Keith Parsons will begin serving their terms on the Warwick Valley Board of Education on July 1, 2019. In total, three candidates sought election to the three open seats:

  • Eilleen Gagliano: 1,079 yes votes
  • Denise Ginley: 1,117 yes votes
  • Keith Parsons: 1,085 yes votes
