Letter Day – A

  • Banana Splits groups will be forming at the middle school.  These are support groups for students who are experiencing family changes.  For more information and to pick up a permission form please stop by the guidance office.
  • Student Senate will meet on Thursday, Oct. 17th.
  • Ukulele Club singing audition results have been posted outside of the chorus room.  Congrats to all who made it!
  • Congratulations to the Cross Country Team for an outstanding meet yesterday at Pine Bush.  Top runners were: Griffin Zimmerli, Conrad Wendell and Thomas Hamersma.  For the girls team: Allysa Davico, Katelyn Cohlmann and Olivia Martino. Practice today is only for those attending the Manhattan Invitational.  Nice work team!
  • Please be sure to check Lost and Found for any items you may be missing.
  • Guitar Club will hold guitar and other instrument auditions today during unit lunch. Sign up outside S-4.  
  • Attention Mileage Club: Runners – today is our Friday Night Lights Run during the football game.  Please sign up with Mrs. Brady if you haven’t done so yet. Anyone in the Friday group may come next week if they want to conserve their energy! Mileage Club is still on for today afternoon for those who do want to attend!
  • Pumpkins For Peace Please join us in creating beauty and inspiration around International Peace Day on October 12 anytime between 11am-2pm at the Sanfordville Elementary Peace Wall Memorial. PIE/MAC families are excited to offer a theme of Peace Pumpkins to the annual Friendsgiving potluck gathering, open to everyone. The focus of the Peace Pumpkin Project is to meet new friends while being a part of a massive movement for peace on the planet. Plenty of related activities will be available for children of all ages including crafts, face painting, yoga, poetry and more. Bring a carved pumpkin expressing your personal vision for peace and a finger food for sharing if you’d like. Free event. Contact warwickpie@gmail.com for more information. 
  • The Middle School Spirit Wear Online Store will close this Friday at 10pm, so get your orders in before it’s too late! This will be our only spirit wear sale for the year. We have added a new purple t-shirt and a personalization option on all shirts and sweatshirts at your request. You can just add it to your current order. Orders can be made at: https://RoosterTees.BigCartel.com Thank you, WVMS PTA 
  • WVMS is starting its own SADD (students against destructive decisions) club. If you are interested in participating in this club and being a part of educating your peers on prevention. Our first meeting will be held in B-6 today during Extended Lunch.
  • If you enjoy art, music, dance, writing, photography or producing films the PTA Reflections program is for you! Pick up an entry form in the main office and visit PTAorg/reflections/awards! The entry due date is Nov. 8th.

  • Thursday Ukulele Club will be meeting today. Be sure to bring a pencil.
  • Attention Mileage Club: Runners – tomorrow night is our Friday Night Lights Run during the football game.  Please sign up with Mrs. Brady if you haven’t done so yet. Anyone in the Friday group may come today instead of tomorrow or next week if they want to conserve their energy! Mileage Club is still on for Friday afternoon for those who do want to attend!
  • On Tuesday night, The Warwick Wildcats traveled to New Paltz to face off against the Huguenots. Early in the game, Johnny Accardo forced a red zone fumble to get our offense back on the field; However, the Wildcat offense was stagnant. The offense was finally sparked on the final play of the first half when Nick Sirico connected with Michael Accardo for a game-changing touch down. In the second half, the
  • Wildcats looked like a different team. Dylan Felter had a 65 yard touchdown run, and Leo vignola connected with Johnny Accardo and Hunter Stuart for two more. When all was said and done, the Wildcats won the game 27-8. Great game Wildcats!

All Middle School Spirit Wear purchases are ordered directly online so that you can find the items and sizes you want.  We will be taking orders through Friday, Oct. 11. Once all items are printed, they will be packaged and delivered to the school to avoid shipping costs and the pick up date will be announced. Orders will be sent home with students unless indicated otherwise on the order form. This will be our only online sale for this school year, so please put your orders in now.   • Girl’s Modified Soccer: Cancelled this afternoon.  We will have practice tomorrow at 3:30.

If you are attending auditions during unit lunch, you must grab your lunch and report directly to the chorus room. See Mr. Peters for a pass. If you are attending auditions after school, be prepared to take the late bus home or to be picked up at 3:40.
  • Guitar Club: Auditions for drums will be held today after school.  Sign up outside room S-4. Guitar and all other instruments audition Thursday, Oct. 10 and Friday, Oct. 11. Please sign up outside room S-4. Students in grades 7-8, consider signing up for the Unit Lunch spots!
