Middle School main office staffers sit at their desks in Board room where they will be temporarily housed this summer.

During the summer months, Middle School administrators and main office staff will work out of the Board room, at the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center.

As capital project renovations at Warwick Valley Middle School continue through the summer months, the school’s main office will be temporarily housed in the Board room of the District office, at the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center.

All Middle School visitors should park in the lot outside the District office and gain access to the building through the main entrance at the DCW Education Center.

Middle School Capital Project renovations

The Middle School Capital Project is well underway. It began in early March at the Media Center which is being redesigned as a hub for 21st-century learning and collaboration. Other work includes new band and chorus rooms, support-services classrooms, STEM classroom, and nurse’s station.

In addition, and acting on the recommendation of a security audit, the Middle School’s main office will be relocating from the center to the front of the building.

Previously occupied by the music suite, the re-purposing of the area will improve administrative operations and create a secure vestibule to keep visitors from direct contact with the student population.

Music programs will be housed in a redesigned and expanded area adjacent to the school cafeteria, commonly referred to as the old computer room.

“The  Middle School renovations will greatly enhance the safety and security of our students and staff and significantly update our middle school facilities,” Dr. Leach said.

All work is expected to be completed by the time school resumes in September.
