Warwick Student-Athlete Commits to Bryant

Chris Morgese signs a National Letter of Intent to attend Bryant UniversityWarwick HS Senior baseball star, Chris Morgese, signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bryant University in Rhode Island, and will compete as a baseball pitcher for the Bulldogs. Morgese will receive a partial athletic scholarship and join the NEC Division I team that qualified for the Northeast Tournament last year. Chris is a 4-year varsity player and First Team All-State selection as a junior. He has won 18 games in three seasons as a left handed pitcher, and last year his ERA was under one run per game. He also batted over .400 as a junior.

Chris has an overall average of 91 and ranked high in his class, with a course load of advanced course work including Calculus and Principles of Engineering for college credit. Chris is a also standout football player. He received interest from numerous schools as a baseball prospect, including Penn State and West Point. Chris is the son of Vito and Maureen Morgese. His brother Daniel is an 8th grader in the Warwick Middle School.
