This website post introduces and explains a unique STEM service project, in which HS and MS students worked together after school over several months to make two 3D printed hands for disabled children with limb loss.

While collaborating on this project, the students not only learned valuable STEM skills, but also developed empathy for those with physical disabilities.

Photos taken over the course of the project show students collaborating on several tasks, and close-up shots show the prosthetic hand creation process over time. Student quotes are featured throughout the story, sharing what they learned from this enriching service experience.

The annual WVCSD budget newsletter provides community residents with required information about the district budget, propositions, Board of Education candidates and voting information.

In addition, the district shares a budget overview and information about its spending priorities, propositions, new K-12 student courses, photos of students and more. The information is presented in a full color, easy-to-read design.

A new feature in this year’s budget newsletter was a “Points of Pride” color insert, highlighting ways in which the district is preparing K-12 students for their future. Special district programs and initiatives, awards and recognition appear in a full-page graphic, with photos.
