Warwick hosts second “First Lego League” Qualifying Tournament

on February 9, 2016

Four Warwick school district teams worked hard throughout the fall and winter to participate in the First Lego League Qualifying Tournament, held recently at Sanfordville Elementary School. Students presented projects on recycling solutions, robot design and the “core values” they learned while working as a team. Amazing in action, the participants demonstrated the First Lego League (FLL) core values of “gracious professionalism” and “coopertition.”

High school engineering and robotics students spent the day refereeing, and Scouts volunteered with setup and as timers. Administrators, community members, teachers and school board members volunteered as judges and scorekeepers. The entire day was supported by head judges and referees from Hudson Valley First Lego League.
