Warwick High School Student Athlete of the Week: Tristan Peterson

Warwick High School is proud to select senior Tristan Peterson as this week’s Bill Garcia Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.  Tristan qualified for the NYSPHSAA State Championships in the shot put with a qualifying mark of 51’10 ¼”, which broke the school record set by Bill Lilly in 1993.  Tristan is a three-season athlete; he competes as an offensive lineman in the fall for the football team and throws for both the indoor and outdoor track teams.         

            Tristan is a top student and carries a cumulative weighted academic average of 99.20.  He takes a challenging course load that includes advanced placement courses for college credit in literature, government and chemistry.  Tristan is a member of the National Honor Society, model United Nations president and Spanish club member.  Tristan plans to study engineering and Spanish at either SUNY Oneonta or Manhattan College.  Tristan is the son of Dawn and Brian Peterson of Monroe, New York.   His sister Tabitha is a freshman at WVHS.  Warwick HS is proud to recognize Tristan Peterson as this week’s Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Student-Athlete of the Week.
