Warwick Football defeated Monroe-Woodbury 14-13 in an opening night victory on September 1 at Monroe-Woodbury. Connor Perez led Wildcat offense with 10 receptions for 158 yards and two TD receptions from senior QB Jared Senius. Senior Kicker Steven Mehling kicked the two extra points to pace the Wildcat scoring. Harrison Parelli and Kyle Rooney combined for nearly 100 yards rushing.

Wildcat defense was paced by seniors Nick Fotino, Jason Hranitz, Andrew Wierzbicki, Danny McNally, Noah Daigle and Sean English. Danny McNally blocked a punt and the game deciding extra point, to give the Wildcats a one point victory. Perez intercepted final pass of the game on the 20 yard line to close it out.

Warwick will travel to Goshen on September 9 for the Annual Spirit Trophy game, with kickoff scheduled for 1 pm at Goshen Middle School. The team will warm up at the Park Avenue Elementary School field on Saturday at 11:00 am, and travel by bus to Goshen for the Traditional Walk up the Hill. The bus will depart from Park Avenue at 11:45 am.
