Virtual Family Yoga on Nov. 12th and March 11th

October 27, 2020

Attention Park Avenue, Sanfordville and Pine Island elementary school families:

In an effort to support our students and their families during these challenging times we are offering an opportunity to engage in work with one of our partners. Zensational Kids helps educational communities unlock their potential through the implementation of evidence-based yoga and mindfulness practices that build social and emotional learning, coping skills and self-regulation strategies.

Family Yoga Night From Home (via a Google Meet)

Enjoy family yoga with the ones you love!  Share yoga together with your loved ones in this memorable and bonding experience. A family who practices yoga together can build continued trust, love, acceptance, and patience with one another. Family yoga classes are also a fun way for the whole family to experience a reduction in stress. Family members of all ages from young children to grandparents can get in on the fun with a yoga story, active and silly times with a lot of movement and calm poses with quiet music to relax and rest.

When: Thursday nights (November 12th and  March 11th) 7:00-7:45PM

What to bring: comfortable clothes, yoga mat or towel and water

Who: All ages and abilities. This is a practice that is accessible for everyone

Please email Jeanette Myrick (jmyrick@wvcsd.org) or Grace Geysen (ggeysen@wvcsd.org) with your email and you will receive a google invite to participate.

 About the  Instructor:

Kimberly DeLoreto, RYT and RCYT, believes every day is a gift. With the merging of her two passions, yoga and children, she uncovered her life’s joy.  As a M.Ed. and Special Education graduate, Kimberly worked in New Jersey public schools and Montessori Education. Currently as an Educational consultant, she incorporates mindful education practices and yoga in the classroom regularly – strategies that support social and emotional learning, while planting seeds to establish a peaceful school environment.
