October 16, 2018

All are invited to view the Warwick Valley Middle School monthly newsletter.

In a creative collaboration with the WVHS Cosmetology and Communications programs, the newsletter has been produced as a video newscast for your viewing enjoyment!

Before filming, HS students in the Cosmetology program prepared the MS student newscasters for the camera with hair styling and makeup.

Each month, a different group of students will record MS news in the high school video production area.

Hi, my name is Celine Arizpe and I am a 7th grader at WVMS. Our Spirit week spanned from September 11 to the 14th. We kicked off the week by wearing Red, White, and Blue to celebrate the United States! The rest of the week included showcasing our favorite sports teams, color wars to represent our grades, and displaying our Warwick Wildcat pride! On Saturday, a few of us marched in the Homecoming Parade with our very own Ms. Maynard as she led the Wire Choir through our town! The opportunity to show your school spirit is not over yet because our Pep Rally has been rescheduled for the end of September to celebrate the first month of school.

Hello, my name is AJ Anderson and I am an 8th grader at the middle school. As part of a great opening to the school year, every student participated in an opening character education period where we talked about what it means to be an important member of our school family. We learned that kindness is never wasted and goes a long way in making memorable moments in our lives and those we see on a daily basis. This lesson was followed up by grade level assemblies with our administrators. Each month we will introduce a new character education lesson that will become part of our making moments school year theme! Here’s to a great year WVMS! Remember to embrace the day, learn with an open mind, have fun, and make a positive difference in someone else’s life! We are looking forward to the following events.

Thank you for watching the Middle School’s monthly newscast!
Please be sure to look out for our next update in about a month.
