View the Middle School May video newsletter!

on May 16, 2018

All are invited to view the Warwick Valley Middle School monthly newsletter.

In a creative collaboration with the WVHS Cosmetology and Communications programs, the newsletter has been produced as a video newscast for your viewing enjoyment!

Before filming, HS students in the Cosmetology program prepared the MS student newscasters for the camera with hair styling and makeup.

Each month, a different group of students will record MS news in the high school video production area.

Hello Warwick Valley, my name is Lionel Wolfe, a 7th grader at Warwick Valley Middle School. Our middle school thespians presented the famous musical “Anything Goes” to the community for three shows.  All of the students and faculty advisors involved did an outstanding job in the production.  In short, it was De-Lovely!  Two of our Odyssey of the Mind teams are moving onto World Championships in Iowa. Our students will compete with teams from around the world! Good Luck!

Hi, my name is Keegan Armstead, and I am in the 5th grade.  Recently, our Wire Choir performed for Sunday Brunch patrons at the Landmark Inn. Guests were treated to strolling musicians who played beautifully throughout the afternoon. Our band students performed in the annual combined band concert where they rocked out and presented a hair raising show! Keep jamming Warwick Valley Middle School.

Hello my name is Carmen Gillian, an 8th grader at the Middle School. Students in the high school SADD club took the walk down the middle school to talk with our 7th graders about peer pressure, tools to deal with it, and the negative effects that drugs and alcohol can have on your body. Along with learning helpful information, our students created positive bonds with Warwick’s high school leaders. In addition, SRO services recently spoke with Mrs. Gouveia’s Health classes to continue the conversation and answer many questions from our inquiring minds. Stay healthy and happy Warwick Valley Middle School.
