View the Middle School June video newsletter!

on June 18, 2018

All are invited to view the Warwick Valley Middle School monthly newsletter.

In a creative collaboration with the WVHS Cosmetology and Communications programs, the newsletter has been produced as a video newscast for your viewing enjoyment!

Before filming, HS students in the Cosmetology program prepared the MS student newscasters for the camera with hair styling and makeup.

Each month, a different group of students will record MS news in the high school video production area.

Welcome to Warwick Valley Middle School’s monthly newscast.

Hi my name is Jaeyden Rodriguez and I am a 5th grader at the Warwick Valley Middle School. Welcome to our final newscast of the school year. This month, we welcomed fourth grade students from Park Avenue and Sanfordville Elementary for our fifth grade orientation. Our National Junior Honor Society students brought them on tours around the building. My advice for the fourth graders coming to the middle school next year is to be respectful to all teachers and students and you will have a great year!

Hi my name is Robert Baird and I am a 6th grader at the Warwick Valley Middle School. This month the 6th graders visited Bear Mountain on their class field trip. While visiting there, students were able to see animals at the zoo, take short hikes, ride the carousel, and enjoy lunch together. My advice for 5th graders coming up to the 6th grade is to work hard on your school work and to never give up!

Hi my name is Haley Wishnia and I’m a 7th grader a Warwick Valley Middle School. This month the 7th grade went on a field trip to the Bronx Zoo. We saw a lot of animals like snow leopards, flamingos, birds, and gorillas. It was really great! It’s almost the end of the year ad I’ve learned many valuable lessons. I’d like to leave one important piece of advice with the upcoming 7th graders. Listen to your teachers and put in as much effort as possible so you will succeed!

Hi my name is Gabriella Bingham and I am an 8th grader here at Warwick Valley Middle School. This month, 8th graders in band, orchestra, and chorus went to New Jersey for a small competition and for a nice trip to Six Flags. While on this trip, students were able to walk around with buddies and go on awesome, fun rides. Students in 8th grade will be attending their 8th grade formal and a Moving Up Ceremony to celebrate their last year in middle school. There are ups and downs here in 8th grade, but one important piece of advice I would like to say is to make sure you keep your grades up and to persevere through all of the troubles and all of your hard work.

Thank you for watching our monthly newsletter. We will be back with more information and important updates in the fall. Have a great summer!
