Student-Athlete of the Week: Wakeley Banker

Warwick High School is proud to select Senior Tennis and Soccer  Player Wakeley Banker as this weeks’ Bill Garcia ALLSTATE Student – Athlete of the Week.  Wakeley and his Tennis Teammates defeated North Rockland this Weekend in the Wounded Warrior Challenge to secure the Victory for Wildcat Athletics.  Wakeley was a standout center – back and captain for the Boys Soccer Team in the fall and earned All Section Recognition.                    

Wakeley carried a 102.5-weighted average this past quarter and has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a scholar – athlete every season of his high school career.   Wakely is a member of the National Honor Society and has accumulated over 400 hours of community service.  His class load includes AP Calculus, AP Literature, AP Physics, AP US History and OCCC Algebra II all for college credit.  He will be attending SUNY Polytechnic Institute this fall majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics and playing College soccer for the Polytech Wildcats in the fall.

Wakeley is the son of Ann Marie and Wayne Banker of Warwick, New York.  His brother Brody is in the eighth grade at Warwick Middle School.   Warwick HS is proud to recognize Wakeley Banker as this week’s Bill Garcia ALLSTATE Insurance Student – Athlete of the Week
