Student-Athlete of the Week: Emily Ziegler

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Emily Ziegler as this weeks’ Bill Garcia Agency Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.

The senior multi-sport standout plays soccer and lacrosse for the Wildcats. Emily and the girls lacrosse team enter the week 9-1 with key games against Highland and Washingtonville this week. Emily plays midfield and was pulled up from the JV her sophomore year, she was part of the Wildcats first Section IX title in school history (2017).

Emily is in the top 5 percent of her class with a weighted grade point average of 99.92. Her classes include Advanced Placement Courses for college credit in government, literature, and the OCCC calculus course.

Emily is an active member of the National Honor Society, the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. She is also a member of the orchestra and plays violin. She will attend Binghamton University in the fall and plans to study nursing.

Emily is the daughter of Bill and Maureen Ziegler of Warwick.
