WVCSD to test SchoolMessenger system Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.

We want to make sure you never miss an important message from the Warwick Valley Central School District, which is why we will conduct a test of our SchoolMessenger system on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. 

SchoolMessenger uses the contact information we have on file to alert you of snow closings, delays and other vital announcements. You should receive this test message via phone call, text and e-mail.

If you don’t receive the test message, please verify and update your contact information by visiting your Parent Portal account. (Here are step-by-step instructions.)

If you don’t know your username and password or do not have an account, please contact Yvonne Koulikov at ykoulikov@wvcsd.org.

The district announces snow closings and delays several ways, including:

  • Schoolmessenger e-mails, texts and phone calls;
  • the district’s website, www.warwickvalleyschools.com;
  • the district’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/wvcsd;
  • School News Notifier (SNN), an opt-in message system for community members who no not subscribe to SchoolMessenger; and
  • the high school, middle school and elementary schools’ mobile apps.

The district’s mobile apps are an efficient and reliable way to stay connected to the four schools in the district and each has its own customized app.  The apps make navigating the district website on smartphones easier and help parents, students and the community stay informed about emergency closings, events, sports schedules, staff directories, menus and more. The apps also serve as a convenient portal to MySchoolBucks, Parent Portal and other useful websites. The apps are free and compatible with Apple and Android smartphones and/or tablets. Look for them in the app store of your smartphone and/or tablet.
