Rotary & HS Interact volunteers prepare dictionaries for district fourth graders

on November 26, 2018

Each year, the Warwick Valley Rotary Club, with the help of members of Warwick Valley High School’s Interact Club, donates a dictionary to each fourth grade student at Park Avenue Elementary, Sanfordville Elementary and fourth grade students at other Town of Warwick schools.

The idea behind Project Dictionary, said Warwick Valley Rotarian Ryan O’Leary, is to help the young students be good writers, readers and thinkers.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people.

Before the dictionaries were delivered to schools, WVHS Interact members and Rotary volunteers worked together to affix a Rotary label into the front of each one.

Dictionaries were delivered by the Rotary to Park Avenue Elementary, Sanfordville Elementary and other schools in the Town of Warwick.

The district is grateful for Warwick Rotary’s generous annual donation to our fourth graders!
