The Warwick Valley Wildcats modified football team continued its My Jersey, Your Impact campaign this week!

Three more members of the modified Wildcats football team select presented their jerseys to teachers who have made significant impacts on their middle school experiences. The teachers are invited to display the jersey outside of their classrooms on game day, symbolizing the bond between students and teachers, and the connection between academics and athletics.

The tradition has become a great way to show off Wildcat spirit, while also reinforcing the value of mentorship and gratitude within the school community. Here this week's Wildcat players and honorees!

Atticus Pouliot, #53 (pictured above)
Atticus is a returning eighth grade lineman! The starting right guard for the gold team plays every position on the defensive line, and has shown tremendous improvement from last year! Atticus exhibits all the qualities of a terrific athlete and teammate, consistently showing up to practice ready to put forth his best effort, and always asks terrific questions. He is extremely coachable and excelling as an upperclassmen! Atticus represented the Wildcats as team captain for this week's game. Atticus presented his jersey to his seventh grade teacher, April Beauregard. He appreciated how "Mrs. B" would always help him study and prepare for tests, and valued how much she cared about him.

Dylan Dwyer, #32
Dylan is a returning player and starting cornerback for the purple team. Dylan is a hard working two-sport athlete who excels on both the football and lacrosse fields. Dylan presented his jersey to Thomas Kelly, his eighth grade math teacher and lacrosse coach. Dylan has been playing lacrosse for Coach Kelly since fifth grade, and loves the bond he and coach have developed. In the classroom, Mr. Kelly brings the same enthusiasm, always "coaching up" his students to help them become the best version of themselves.

Ryan Devine
Ryan is the Wildcats' starting running back and outside linebacker for the purple team. Ryan brings physicality to everything he does, and he always goes hard! Ryan presented his jersey to John Gouveia. Ryan had Mr. Gouveia in seventh grade science and he always appreciated his kindness. Ryan has fond memories of working on a lab that involved planting grass seeds and really enjoying watching them grow.
