2025 Color Run at middle school puts the fun in fundraising

Students take off at the start of the WVMS Color Run.

The Warwick Valley Middle School's fourth annual Color Run on Saturday morning was a huge success. The event raised around $13,000 that the WVMS PTA will use to fund field trips, assemblies, and enrichment events throughout the school year.

The WVMS PTA would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and cheered our students on during event. Your energy, enthusiasm, and support helped make the day unforgettable — and colorful!

Congratulations to our top fundraisers in each grade:
    •    5th Grade – Jamie Holt
    •    6th Grade – Stella DiMaria
    •    7th Grade – Asher Saghafi
    •    8th Grade – Theodore Thornell

And a big shoutout to our race winners:
    •    1st Place: Cam Oppito (5th Grade)
    •    2nd Place: Jackson Brown (8th Grade)
    •    3rd Place: Cooper McGill (8th Grade)

"We're very thankful for the WVMS PTA and the job they do," WVMS Principal Mr. Yapkowitz said. "It takes a lot of work to get this event off the ground. It's a great way to fundraise and a great family day."

Thanks also to the WVMS custodial staff and SRO, and to Mr.  Avila and the Criminal Justice program members for providing a security team.
