Great news out of Wildcat Country!

Congratulations and great job to Wildcats lacrosse player Abigail Kadus, for receiving the Jackie Pitts Award from USA Lacrosse! The award is named in honor of "a legendary member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame," and recognizes high school seniors who go above and beyond in service to their team, school, and community.

USA Lacrosse recognizes the conscientiousness and drive of these outstanding student athletes, "who truly honor the game of lacrosse, are invested in the development of the game in their town and are exemplary teammates... and serve as role models in their school community."

To qualify for the award, Abigail also had to meet very specific academic guidelines. Of course, we already know that Abigail was named a 2024-25 Scholar-Athlete from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, for maintaining a GPA above 90% throughout her varsity lacrosse season.

Abigail was also named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. She is also a National Honor Society member and, among her many academic successes, completed the very challenging, 3-year WVHS Science Research program this spring.

Abigail is off to Rowan University in the fall, where she will be studying biology and playing lacrosse.

Go Abigail! Go Wildcats!
