Annual WVHS career fair largest yet, connects students with professionals

The Warwick Valley High School 2025 Spring Career Fair took place on Thursday, April 10, and WVHS Director of Guidance Mary Fox said it was certainly among the best—possibly the best—career fairs they've ever hosted!
The event, usually held in the high school's "old gym," was moved into the much larger new gym to make room for the 40-plus organizations that reserved their tables to meet with Warwick Valley students. Warwick Valley also welcomed students from Florida High School, SS Seward Institute, to the career fair.

Career fairs help students prepare for their post-graduation pathways, whether they are college or workforce-bound. When students get to visit with professionals who work in their fields of interest, ideas and doors can open up!
Discovery: Students get to explore career pathways they are familiar with while also discovering career pathways they did not even know existed. Examining career pathways can also help make good decisions in aligning high school studies with career aspirations.
Expertise: Students can ask specific questions and learn how professionals in their field of interest take on real-world problems. They can gain a valuable insider's point of view.
Network: Students interact with local, regional, and national business owners and recruiters they can add to their professional network. Career fair professionals can even become mentors!
