Video production students premier digital horror shorts for Halloween
Last week, we ran THIS STORY about the Warwick Valley High School students in Dan Cecconie’s Video Production program who were in the final stages of creating their first-ever digital cinema assignment -- to create frighteningly fast five-minute horror shorts!
While they worked on their movies, the students had a visit from Fairleigh Dickinson University professor of Digital Film & Cinema, Howard Libov. Mr. Libov gave them all some pro tips and tricks to complement those passed along during classroom and studio lessons by Mr. Cecconie. Altogether, their guidance helped the students fit the most shrieks per second into the compact format, just in time for their Halloween-week premier.
So pop some popcorn, check the closets, turn out the lights, and enjoy the movies (and the bonus conversations with the film makers). Everything turned out scary good!
