WVHS Music Department presents 2026 Spring Band Concert

Warwick Valley High School musicians perform on stage during the Spring Band Concert.

The Warwick Valley High School Music Department proudly presented its 2026 Spring Band Concert this week, featuring performances by the high school's Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble under the direction of WVHS music teacher Megan Shafer.

The Jazz Ensemble opened the performance with Ulterior Motive, featuring soloists Tommy Maiorana and Rosalie Mountford. That was followed by The Chicken, with soloists Alex O'Neill, Jude Gawronski, Hank Wendell and Sean Klein.

The Concert Band was next on the stage and started with Tribal Journeys, with a flute solo by Sofia Hafeez, and then performed The Maelstrom and Circles.

The Wind Ensemble played Mt. Everest and Kirkpatrick's Muse before ending with Danzas Cubanas, which highlighted flute soloist Grace Stough, trombone soloists Rosalie Mountford and Rowan Roepe and piano soloist Tommy Maiorana.

The evening concluded with the Senior Piece, Night Cries. Congratulations to all of our senior musicians.
