More cars, more buildings added to Wildcat Metropolis at Sanfordville

Students work on vehicles and buildings for Wildcat Metropolis

Construction updates emerging from Wildcat Metropolis are impressive, as the 3D model city and its surrounding suburbs and farmlands continue to take shape at Sanfordville Elementary School. As we reported in March, the entire school is collaborating on the Wildcat Metropolis project. Students at every grade level have been answering the challenge to apply sharp research skills, sound planning, methodical problem-solving, and creative ingenuity to bring their imagined utopia to life.

The project is spearheaded by STEM teacher Casey Besimer and librarian/media specialist Danielle Cancel, and Sanfordville students have been working on the project during their STEM and Encore classes. They have not only demonstrated their knowledge of the topics they study in their classes, but they have also applied that knowledge skillfully.

For more details about the Wildcat Metropolis project, please enjoy this earlier story.

Last week, third graders were working on vehicles, while fourth graders continued building construction. Want to visit Wildcat Metropolis? It's being constructed in the Sanfordville library, across from the STEM Room.

Here's a look at some of the latest activity...
