Park Avenue holds ROAR assembly

Students at Park Avenue Elementary School celebrated themselves recently for modelling excellent in-school behavior throughout the second trimester of the year with a ROAR assembly featuring singer and songwriter Jared Campbell.

Park Avenue students learn about Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) expectations through the ROAR program. ROAR stands for Respect, Outstanding Choices, Acceptance and Responsibility.

"The end of the trimester is a good time to both remind ourselves of what's expected and but also to celebrate the fact that you guys have been ROARing throughout Trimester 2," Principal Biniaris told the students at the start of the assembly.

Mr. Campbell sang songs that talked about the importance of friends and the power of kindness. He urged the students to do the right thing.
