Celebrating National School Nurse Day

Happy national school nurse day

Today, we proudly recognize and celebrate our exceptional school nurses on School Nurse Day!

Our school nurses are an essential part of the Warwick Valley Central School District community. Their impact extends far beyond the health office—supporting the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our students each and every day. They are often the first to respond in times of need, providing expert care, calm reassurance, and critical decision-making that helps keep our schools safe and supportive learning environments.

From managing chronic health conditions and responding to emergencies, to promoting wellness and partnering with families and staff, our nurses play a vital role in ensuring that every student is healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

We would also like to recognize the enormous contributions of our substitute nurses. While their team may be small, their impact is mighty. They step in wherever they are needed, ensuring continuity of care and seamless health office operations. Their flexibility, dedication, and willingness to support any building at any time are truly invaluable—and we simply could not do this work without them.

We are deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of both our full-time and substitute nurses. Their dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our entire school community.

Please join us in thanking our school nurses for all that they do—today and every day!
