The Warwick Valley Wildcats have announced their roster for the 2026 varsity football season!
As the team gets ready for another fall under head coach and Warwick Valley Athletic Director Gregory Sirico, they look to build on a 2025 marked by growth and resilience, and have their sights set on a return trip to the playoffs.
In 2025, the team opened with a convincing 29-14 win over Susan Wagner, led by a four-touchdown performance by quarterback Danny Lovich. The Wildcats weathered a challenging mid-season stretch, including a nail-biter of a homecoming loss to Pine Bush. The Wildcats dropped last year’s Spirit Game to their rivals from Goshen, but finished the season strong, earning a 29-6 playoff win over Goshen, setting a hopeful tone for the program in 2026.
In fact, this year’s Warwick Valley homecoming game has the Wildcats taking on Goshen at C Ashley Morgan Field, and the Wildcats hope to bring the Spirit Trophy back to Warwick!
Leadership & Experience
Captain Brayden Harrison returns for his third season as the Wildcats’ starting center, anchoring an experienced offensive line. Lupkovich returns for his senior year and brings versatility on both sides of the ball.
“[Danny] is a dynamic athlete who played a key role at both receiver and defensive back for us last season,” said Coach Sirico. “He even stepped in at quarterback when we needed him to, including a great game in the team’s playoff victory.”
On the perimeter, captain Sean Perez enters his second year as a starting receiver and will be a reliable target in the passing game.
Key Contributors
The Wildcats will again rely on defensive end Jack Gobinski to set the tone up front, while Tom Ranaudo and captain Jackson Miceli are expected to make significant impacts this season. Their experience and consistency will be crucial to maintaining a strong defensive unit.
Wildcats to Watch
Senior quarterback Eric Milisauskas is prepared to step into the spotlight and will look to lead the offense. Quinn O’Brien and Dean DiMattina are two more promising playmakers to keep an eye on. Senior lineman Muhammad Spencer is one to watch on the defensive side of the ball.
With a core group of returning starters and some exciting younger faces stepping into larger roles, the Warwick Valley Wildcats are approaching the upcoming season with enthusiasm and optimism, looking to build on last year's playoff run.
The season opens with two home games: This Friday night, Sept 4, against Susan Wagner, and Thursday night, September 10, against Newburgh Free Academy. Then, it is an away game at Pine Bush on Friday, September 18, before the Wildcats welcome Goshen for the homecoming and Spirit trophy game on Saturday, September 26, at 1:30.
Coach Sirico is joined by his assistant coaching staff of Warren Patafio, Gregory Sirico, Jr., Ryan Tobin, John Maslanka, Brendan Don, Tom Maslanka, Brendan Bauer, Dominic Sirico, John Garcia Jr, Logan Hurd, Jake Durie, Robert Maslanka, and Paul Brogan.
