Warwick Valley football hosts Camp of Champions

Five of the top football programs in Section 9 gathered at Warwick Valley High School for the 25th edition of the Camp of Champions starting on June 29, 2025. Players from Warwick, Minisink Valley, John S. Burke Catholic, Chester and Monroe-Woodbury are competing in the four-day event.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler spoke to the players before the practices on Monday. The camp continues tomorrow and concludes with a scrimmage day from 8:30 a.m. - noon on Wednesday.
Leading up to the scrimmages, teams install basic offensive schemes and run through various position-specific drills. The first day of practice for the 2025 season will be on Monday, Aug. 18. Warwick opens the season with a home game against Wagner on Friday, Sept. 5.
