Victoria Alvarado wins Section IX wrestling title

VICTORIA POSES FOR A PROTRAIT IN HER BLUE WRESTLING SINGLET. HER ARMS ARE CROSSED

Warwick Valley High School junior Victoria Alvarado takes center stage at the New York Public High School Athletic Association Girls Wrestling Championship this week at Albany's MVP Arena!

You may remember that Victoria grappled her way to the state title last year as a sophomore. She won this season's Section IX Girls Championship on February 16, qualifying her for a return to states and a chance to defend her title.

Victoria, who is also a two-time All-American, will compete at 152 pounds. Victoria is known for her unwavering work ethic off the mat and her relentless pace and technical precision on. Her experience with and characteristic composure in big-match settings should serve her well in her reurn to states.

Join us in cheering for Victoria on this week, as she she looks to cap another dominant season and add another achievement to her already remarkable resume.by once again standing at the top of the podium!
