Congratulations to Warwick Valley High School junior Luke Beattie for winning the outdoor track and field state championship in the pole vault on June 13, 2025 at Middletown's Faller Field.

Luke cleared 16 feet, six inches on his first attempt to win the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class A and overall Federation championships. Luke has now won five straight pole vault state titles in NYSPHSAA indoor and outdoor track and field championship meets.

Shortly after winning the pole vault, Luke anchored Warwick’s 4x100-meter relay team to a third-place finish. The team of Luke, Logan Conley, Ryan Sullivan and Isaiah Gonzalez ran a school-record time of 42.07 seconds.

Warwick senior Rachel Venter cleared 12-0 in the pole vault to finish second in the state in Class A. She won the indoor state championship in the event.
