Celebrating Wildcat diver Drew Voloshin and his outstanding freshman campaign

Warwick Valley High School Wildcat diver Drew Voloshin has established himself as one of the premier young diving talents in the United States with a monumental year on the local, national, and international stages.

Drew's freshman season was defined by historical dominance, elite domestic championships, and his first taste of international success representing American diving abroad. His unforgettable 2025–2026 campaign recently reached its highest milestone yet, as Drew was selected to the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) Boys One-Meter Diving All-America List. 

From New York Dominance to Global Pools

Drew's stellar year kicked off with a major milestone in November 2025, when he traveled to London, England. Jointly selected by USA Diving and the Amatuear Athletic Union (AAU), he earned the opportunity to train and compete abroad, providing him with invaluable international experience against global talent.

Drew carried that momentum directly into the domestic circuit, ultimately qualifying for and competing in the highly selective USA Diving Junior World Trials. Going head-to-head with the finest elite youth divers across the country, Voloshin's presence at the Trials cemented his trajectory toward future Olympic-cycle consideration.

A Record-Breaking High School Campaign

For the Wildcats, Drew engineered the most dominant high school diving season in regional history. Leading the Warwick Valley Wildcats to back-to-back team Sectional and State titles, his individual accolades included:

• Section 9 Champion: Drew captured his second sectional crown by posting 609.20 points in the 11-dive event and securing the second-highest score in the history of the sectional meet.
• New York State Silver Medalist: At the NYSPHSAA Boys Federation Championship at Ithaca College, he secured a 2nd place podium finish with 521.50 points. This marked the 2nd highest score ever recorded by a freshman in New York State Championship history.

All-American Status Confirmed

Drew's consistency at championship performances earned him a spot on the NISCA All-American Board, a distinction reserved for only the top 100 high school divers nationwide. Remarkably, Drew achieved this honor as a freshman, signaling a bright future ahead for Warwick Valley athletics. With three years of high school eligibility remaining, an international resume already in development, and high-level club experience, Drew is primed to remain a dominant force on the boards for years to come.
