Boys track & field team wins Section 9 Class A championship meet

The Warwick Valley High School boys track and field team won the Section 9 Class A championship meet on Thursday, May 28.
The Wildcats achieved their first-place finish with 154 points, which was 43 points higher than the next closest finisher, Monroe-Woddbury. Newburgh Free Academy finished third at 89 points.
The Wildcats team win was highlighted by outstanding indivdual performances by Isaiah Gonzalez and Leo Shostal, who had a multiple first-place finishes. Isaiah won the long jump and triple jump, while Leo finished first in the 3,200-meter run and the 3,000 steeplechase.
