Amanda McGraw, Student-Athlete of the Week

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize junior diver Amanda McGraw as this week’s Bill Garcia Agency ALLSTATE Student–Athlete of the Week.

Amanda finished 10th overall at the NYSPHSAA Swim and Dive State Championships at Ithaca College this past weekend.

Amanda capped her season as a top-five-finisher at the County and Section IX Championships prior to her State Championship Posting—all of this in only her second year as a diver.

Amanda scored a personal best 453 points in the dive combination, and will return her senior year as one of New York’s top performers. Amanda’s grade point average of 98.28 is in the top five percent of her class, and makes her a strong candidate for the National Honor Society this December.

Amanda takes a challenging course load which includes O.C.C.C. Algebra and Trigonometry, Honors Physics and Principles of Engineering. She is the daughter of Monica and Ken McGraw. Her sister Nicole is a freshman in college and sister Kirsten is a freshman in high school involved in Spirit and Competitive Cheer for the Wildcats.
