Jennifer Prial, Student-Athlete of the Week

Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Jennifer Prial as this week’s ALLSTATE Student–Athlete of the Week.

Jennie won the Section IX Class AA Cross Country Meet at Bear Mountain this fall, and is on her way to the NYSPHSAA State Championships in the Binghamton area (she finished 12th last year).

Jennie has been running for the Wildcats since ninth grade and is the two-time County Champion for Cross Country. She earned All American recognition as the lead-off leg of the Distance Medley Relay last spring.

Jennie is an outstanding student, whose weighted grade-point-average is over 100, making her a top student–athlete in the county. She is enrolled in the Orange County Community College calculus course for college credit, along with three Advanced Placement courses this year.

Jennie is the President of the Student Senate, and a member of the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta). She is captain of the Junior Ambulance Corp (EMS) and volunteers at St. Anthony Community Hospital. She plans to study nursing and earn a degree to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.

Jennie is the daughter of Becky and Greg Prial. She is the youngest of five great Prial kids; Becky (30), Terence (27), Dan (26), and Brigid (20). Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize Jennifer (Jennie) Prial as this week’s Bill Garcia ALLSTATE Insurance Student–Athlete of the Week.
